Cogitation

I like the thing where we write thoughts.. Perhaps its a way, we let out something.
I like the time we say, we are thinking.. Perhaps its a way, we tell others that we aren’t too dumb or have less EQ.
But I like the place here where I would quote sayings… not mine, people great or so infamous. Perhaps its a way, I tell, I am trying to improve.

Δ “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way ”

Charles Dickens – A Tale of two Cities

Δ “Better indeed is knowledge than mechanical practice. Better than knowledge is meditation. But better still is surrender of attachment to results, because there follows immediate peace.”

Bhagavad Gita

Δ “If you wait for tomorrow, tomorrow comes. If you do not wait for tomorrow, tomorrow comes.” – unsourced.

Δ “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed”

Michael Jordan

Δ ” All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: it was the willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their people in their time. This, and not much else, is the essence of leadership. ”

Kahlil Gibran

Δ ”

Childhood years spent imagining,

infinite possibilities ahead.

Little time or thought given,

to the path you really want to tread.

Youth of disappearing choices,

things you can never be or have.

Till one day you see in the mirror,

a stranger staring back.

Rest of your life spent reconciling,

the chasm in your mind,

between the face in the mirror,

and the dreams you left behind.

”   – The Funda of Mix-ology.

Δ ” Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”

Louisa May Alcott

Δ “Nothing happens by chance, my friend… No such thing as luck. A meaning behind every little thing, and such a meaning behind this. Part for you, part for me, we may not see it all real clear right now, but we will, before long.”

Richard Bach( Nothing by Chance: A Gypsy Pilot’s Adventures in Modern America (1969))

Δ “About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”

Stephenie Meyer( Twilight)

Δ ” I am only one,

But still I am one.

I cannot do everything,

But still I can do something;

And because I cannot do everything

I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”

Edward Everett Hale ~
